Are you passionate about economics and eager to engage in insightful discussions beyond the classroom? Would you like to learn more about what economists do?
Then we invite you to become part of Ad-Hoc Economics, the student club for economics enthusiasts at the University of St. Gallen!
What is Ad-Hoc Economics?
Ad-Hoc Economics was founded by a group of motivated economics students. Today they work at the ECB, SNB, or as doctoral students. The mission of Ad-Hoc Economics is to build a bridge between the public and academic economic discourse by bringing fresh perspectives to economic debates. We fulfill our mission by promoting an exchange of ideas between students, academics, and thought-leaders.
Why should you join?
Members of the club can participate in our events such as mentoring talks, networking events, or the famous beer and economics events. In past semesters, we invited guest speakers working at multinational enterprises (Amazon, Bank of America, or Verdane) or at institutions (SNB, ECB, Deutsche Bundesbank) or as journalists in New York.
